[π] Today #5: Developer Trait: Errors Make Your Eyes Flip
β¨ GPT Summary γ
A day when I looked back on the time I spent inefficiently obsessing over problem-solving while studying FlutterFlow, and resolved to value priorities and efficiency from now on.
π― Goals
- β―οΈ FlutterFlow University Expert Training lesson 13/22 (completed: 6 lessons)
π Diary
I have been learning FlutterFlow lately, but my progress is much slower than expected, which is a huge problem. When I looked back and asked why, I realized I had been gritting my teeth and obsessing over something completely unrelated to the lecture videos. (Local Run was not working in the FlutterFlow local app because of a Gradle version issue, so I spent two hours doing every ridiculous thing imaginable, uninstalling and reinstalling Flutter, uninstalling and reinstalling Java, switching to OpenJDK, β¦ and the issue still remained. Damn.)
Starting tomorrow, I should just focus on the lecture content.
βDeveloper trait: when they run into an error, their eyes light up and they rush in trying to fix it, then waste a ton of timeβ¦β
Lolβ¦ In the end, a colleagueβs heavy fact-punch landed cleanly.
From now on, I should watch out for over-immersion, regularly take time for rest and feedback, and check my priorities and current status.
