[๐งโ๐ป] What Stood Out Before AI at the AI Safety and Health Show
โจ GPT-5.5โs Summary
I went in expecting AI, but safety gear and field-solution UI caught my eye first; in the end, the booths that stopped people and the conversation with my companion stayed with me longer.
I Expected Too Much from the Word AI

This afternoon, I left the office and attended the 2026 AI Safety and Health Show, part of Industrial Safety and Health Month, at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2.1

I had not been to a large exhibition like this recently, and since the event name had โAIโ in it, I was quietly expecting to see some genuinely novel products.
Safety Gear Stood Out Before AI

Honestly, though, it felt much more like a safety-equipment exhibition with AI added to the name than an AI-centered show. Safety harnesses, vests, protective gear, gas detectors, and field equipment were far more prominent.
The Field-Solution UI Was Fun to Study

Still, there were occasionally software solutions with AI built in. Those were useful references for UI/UX structure and intuitive feature placement. It was fun to see which functions they put forward, how they grouped information into cards, and how they displayed field data on a single screen.
Products Alone Do Not Make People Stop

Some companies used things like a popcorn machine to draw attention. Companies that gave a small reward for submitting a business card or signing up for an email subscription definitely caught more attention than those that simply displayed products. In the end, an exhibition also needs something that makes people stop and start a conversation.
People Come First After All
It was also good to walk around with the director and talk about many different topics. Hearing stories about all kinds of company attempts to combine software with hardware was so enjoyable that I lost track of time.
Yes. The best thing is not where you go, but who you go with. Sometimes, before what you talk about, who you talk with comes first.
People come first after all.
