What matters here is continuity. And the commitment to absolutely continue, unless something truly uncontrollable like a natural disaster happens. If this breaks, I will have no choice but to go back to my previous self. Just like I have gone back dozens, maybe hundreds, of times already.

Let me not forget. If I become overly addicted to the kind of stimulating cheap dopamine that comes from YouTube/games/binge eating/porn, I become a person unable to gain this kind of quiet, real dopamine available in reality.
