< Accommodation (Sanbangsan Carbonate Hot Spring Pension) - Beophwan Badang >

(about 24.6 km)

naver-013-009

naver-013-010

I tried the carbonate hot spring.

There was no linked discount with the carbonate hot spring pension (guesthouse)… too bad.

The facilities felt a bit worn and old, but having carbonated bubbles form all over my body was quite a fascinating experience.

naver-013-011

Protein to prevent muscle loss and a low-calorie breakfast for body-fat reduction.

Now that my stomach is filled, departure!

naver-013-012

naver-013-013

There were things like a teddy bear museum and an attraction museum, but nothing really pulled me in…

Then along the way, I saw something called Chocolate Land.

I went, β€˜Oh?!’ and checked the ratings lol. The bad reviews were loud.

…Just ride. There is a long way to go.

naver-013-014

naver-013-015

naver-013-016

Suddenly there was a loooong downhill lol.

I got excited and let off the brakes, and it felt like I briefly hit around 35 km/h at top speed.

I instantly felt my life threatened and kept the rear brake engaged.

Still, it was cool and felt good lol.

naver-013-017

If there is a downhill, there is bound to be an uphill…

It was so hard, my legs cramped, and I could not endure it.

For energy recharge, gukbap is the answer!

The glutinous-rice sundae was hearty and delicious.

naver-013-018

After fully recharging, I took this because it just looked interesting on the way.

naver-013-019

Finally arrived… whew.

One-line course note: There were many downhill sections here and there, so it was fun.

< Beophwan Badang - Soesokkak >

(about 13.5 km)

naver-013-022

That bench with steam coming out is cool, you know.

My first outdoor lodging.

I think I lay down and rested for about 10 minutes.

naver-013-025

naver-013-026

On the way, there was even this cozy bed prepared!

My second outdoor lodging.

I think I lay down here and rested for about 10 minutes too.

The reason I kept sleeping like this was…

maybe because of the damage accumulated since yesterday,

and because I cramped while climbing uphill and almost fell lol.

Once the thought that I should not overdo it took over my whole body, I finally realized that my body was tired.

naver-013-027

One-line course note: I rode almost half-dead the whole time, so nothing remains in memory. It was nice that the course was short, though.

< Soesokkak - Pyoseon Beach >

(about 28.3 km)

naver-013-028

It could have been my third outdoor sleeping accommodation…

but it failed because there were too many bugsγ… γ…

naver-013-029

A fellow rider I had run into a few times on the road, who shouted β€œFighting!”

Huh? I was definitely ahead…

but they were resting at a convenience store.

Happy to see them, I went into the convenience store too.

I bought a drink and sat in a convenience-store chair, and they immediately started talking to me.

They sprayed pain relief, shared tips, gave geographic information, even bought me bottled water…

Just a godsend benefactor.

Our destination was the same Pyoseon Beach certification center, so we decided to go together.

We synced our KakaoMap routes and, whenever we came across a convenience store, tactfully stopped and waited for each other.

naver-013-030

Before, convenience stores felt like rest spots/save points,

but now they became meeting plazas with a fellow rider, so the feeling was different.

The certainty that someone was following behind me,

even though I was riding alone, gave me the feeling of riding together,

and thanks to that, I could enjoyably finish 28 km that might have been boring in no time.

These experiences gave me good inspiration for the companion system I will make in Life RPG.

Later, I definitely want to implement a feature that lets people experience something similar.

naver-013-031

naver-013-032

One-line course note: I took KakaoMap’s shortest route, so it was not the official route (coastal course), but it was fine because there were not many uphills.

< Pyoseon Beach - Accommodation (Jeju Blanc Guesthouse) >

(about 2 km)

naver-013-033

I downed a bowl of meat noodles with the fellow rider and said goodbye.

Where there is meeting, there is parting.

I did learn that in military training camp…

Still, we exchanged contacts, so if I ever stop by Gwangju later, maybe I can reach out?!

naver-013-034

Of all times, it started raining on the way to the accommodation, so I got soaked…

The owner personally did my laundry!!!

naver-013-035

The shower room was clean, and it had everything it needed.

Even though I had not brought anything special, I could wash up luxuriously.

naver-013-036

On top of that, because there were no guests who booked single rooms today, they upgraded me to a single room!

Where else is there such a generous guesthouseγ… γ…
