πŸ’­ Diary

I traveled abroad for the first time since becoming an adult, to Fukuoka, Japan, for short-term mission. It is my first time leaving Korea since a trip to China in high school about fifteen years ago.

It felt exciting and strange, but humans adapt quickly.

Being welcomed by Christians in Japan is a rare and precious experience.

The fact that I only slept thirty minutes this dawn to finish unfinished work seems to be a real blow. I am so sleepy.


Even if I am dying of sleepiness, even if my head feels like it will split, even if circumstances arise, if I promised myself I would keep something, I need to keep it. That is how it can become a routine.

But if I obsess over that too much, I will erase the happy memories I could build during this mission. Nothing is more foolish than staying up all night and then trying to stay up again the very next day. Sleep.

And be clear: I am not just on a β€œtrip.” I am doing short-term mission work, including a Korean/Japanese interpreting role of sorts. In other words, this is also work. So for work efficiency, sleep now.

My brain really works well when it comes to rationalization lol.


I inserted a Ringsim unlimited-data SIM for four days, but many issues are happening. Even after following the APN guide, it did not work, so I am using the default APN. KakaoTalk can be read but not sent unless I use laptop through hotspot. The worst part is that GPT is not working in Japan, even though I was excited to use GPT Vision. It works when I remote into my Korean computer, so maybe it only needs action while I am in Japan. Papago is enough for communication, thankfully.
