During work hours, I act busy in every possible way. But when spare time comes, like on the bus or right before sleeping, I still habitually turn on YouTube and waste ten minutes to an hour.
Even though I clearly feel that being soaked in cheap dopamine is bad and that I want to stop, I cannot stop. That is an addiction symptom.
The more my brain is soaked in cheap dopamine, the more all the potential possibilities of my brain will be blocked. Interpreted from a Christian perspective, it is harmful in spirit, soul, and body.
Whipping myself with βif you know, fix itβ does not help. As I wrote in an earlier diary ([π] Today #30: A Successful Goal-Achievement Cycle), the most effective way is ultimately to change the system.

Looking back, watching an Elon Musk video to complete Goal 3 helped wake me up. That is the effect of a changed system. This diary itself is also part of that.
