I had spent a lot of time and care writing a post because I wanted to share an experience that meant a lot to me.
Afterward, I was quietly expecting a good responseβ¦ but wait, wasnβt the response much colder than I expected?
When I checked the post analysis on Bledex, the post had been omitted from search!

No, sir, omitted? What do you mean omitted!

No way!

I said no wayβ¦! Sob.
Experiencing an omission for the first time was a surprisingly fresh shock.
Usually, even when my blog index showed as βSemi-Optimal 1,β I comforted myself by saying, βMy blog is just for diary purposes, and it is new anyway, so it is fine.β

But after experiencing people liking and commenting on my posts, my thoughts had recently started to change.
I wondered, βShould I take the blog a little more seriously?β So I had started searching about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and related topicsβ¦
And then suddenly, an omission! I could not just sit there.
Identifying the cause
First, I used Bledexβs post analysis feature to examine the factors that seemed likely to have caused the omission.

Attempt 1 to fix the omission: remove external links

I said no wayβ¦! Sob.
Attempt 2 to fix the omission: edit the title

β¦
No meaningful change. Still omitted.
Attempt 3 to fix the omission: edit the tags

Since I could enter up to 30 tags, I thought adding as many as possible would help search traffic. But after looking into it, I found that it was actually harmful.
I concluded that the best approach is to add none at all, or at most one or two.

Attempt 4 to fix the omission: edit the content
I wondered whether the beginning of the βHow Was Today?β series had too many verification-style elements.
So I created a separate βTodayβs Verificationβ category and split the content out.

And thenβ¦!

Oh!!! Finally!
The omission disappeared! π

Through this experience of escaping a post omission, I learned a lot about SEO.
It was an extremely meaningful experience.
I hope this record can be at least a small reference for other bloggers too.
Things that would be good to improve later (added after a tip-off)
